The board and staff will be very sorry to see her leave; she has been such a big part of JPS for these past 18 years. Fortunately, Ellen won’t be far away, at home writing her next book and maintaining her ties to JPS as Editor Emerita.

We are planning a tribute gala to honor Ellen. The party will be on Thursday evening, October 22 at the Hillel House on the University of Pennsylvania campus, here in Philadelphia.

Please come; we want this to be very special for Ellen. And if you can’t come, we hope you will be a sponsor or honor Ellen with a message in our tribute book. We know she would be touched by your participation.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the Ellen Frankel Tribute Fund, which will support the JPS projects closest to Ellen’s heart.
