Converts are not Israelites by definition, however we know they intermarried with Israelite men and women, so their children were as connected to Israel as their spouses. To learn more about the predominantly Israelite ancestry of most Jews around the world, see chapter 10 and appendix D in my book "The Jews of Khazaria, Second Edition", published by Rowman and Littlefield.
